Why Search Engine Traffic will generate 20% or less of your sales
Because 80% of the people who find your web page in a search engine results page are not looking for the exact information you have.
They are looking for something related, but the rule is, an exact match-up is not as likely as you think, and 80% of the searchers are looking for something so exact that unless your headline and what’s listed in the results page matches it (20% likelihood) then only 20% who land there will find what they were really looking for. You MUST understand this.
What This Means
This also means on every search engine results page, of 10 results only 2 of them may be what people are looking for, and only 1 of the 2 may even be worth anything.
That’s why some people have to look through 2 or 3 pages of results before they might find exactly what they’re looking for, or use different words for their search. This is definitely a hit or miss approach and trust me, you don’t want to be found hit or miss only!
