WHERE and HOW you place your Google and other text and banner ads makes ALL the difference for how many click thrus you get and how much money you make.
The strategic placement of Google ads can mean the difference between click thru rates of between .1 to 2%, and 5% to 10%. That is a huge difference when talking about large volumes of traffic, the primary Google Adsense way to make money online.

I will try to give you the BEST places to placed your Google ads. I will give you this advice as often as I:

This Is Not Spamming
This is in no way spamming. Instead, this is placing Google Ads strategically for maximum content relevance and maximum customer benefit to click on ads related to the information they’re looking for.
You have great content. Then place ads within it. Not the other way around (creating content in order to float ads…bad idea, poor quality sites never win, spamming never wins.)

This site shows us an excellent example of in-text placement of Google ads that do not detract from the site but instead complement the site, its structure, design, color scheme and size.
Here’s an example of some very well placed Google ads from A Promotion Guide Website. Note how the ads complement the ads and the text is wrapped around for a most natural and relevant appearance.
Note I used the words “a promotion guide” for my anchor text link keywords and description, to do something to help optimize this person’s site even more. That’s how you do it in this business…help each other with your main theme keywords and other things.

Blogging and helping others goes hand in hand in the web 2.0 community and economy, a powerful lesson many just don’t get. This is not a selfish economy…that’s why I helped this person…and what comes around goes around in this world of blogging and making money online.
I was also able to use this site to show how strategic Adsense placement is important. So that is also a benefit gained for me. Would love an incoming link too though, yet the other rule is don’t expect such things…and most of the times you’ll be happily surprised.
Note also how the author uses a static, easily navigatable, structured site that is keyword optimized and ad maximized (3 is definitely the limit here). Note also the first 2 ad boxes have 4 ads and the last has 3.
Finally, note that EVERY page on this site seems to have these Google ads. Now that is smart. Every page is MAXIMIZED STRATEGICALLY for Google Adsense.
How Much Money Do They Make – What Do You Think?
I would love to see all the keywords such as website promotion (which is one of them, wow!) that this site ranks in the Google (and other search engines’) top 10 for. I would also love to see how much traffic, the cluck thru rate and the earnings rate.
The person running this site probably makes boatloads (100K year at LEAST on Adsense profits alone) on what is nothing other than what I would call “a textbook Google Adsense operation”.
Nothing difficult, nothing fancy, nothing spectacular here – but highly effective and therefore pure genius. So learn from this! Copy the technique, using your own content, with your own specialized high-traffic niche and you can’t go wrong!
You Too Can Still Make Money Monetizing Your Site With Google Adsense
Many think that the days of Adsense monetization and profits are over. Not true, or sites like this wouldn’t exist and still continue to use the model – a model that obviously still works well. So why not use it yourself?
It will take time, and after a couple years when the traffic builds, you’ll not be able to thank me enough for all that you will continue to earn from that point forward by keeping it simple and following these textbook adsense examples, and getting all those click-thrus.
