Most Reddit and Digg Submits are One Hit Traffic Wonders

What I mean is, when you submit to them, you may get 1 or 2 Diggs or Karma points or 3 if you’re lucky, and you may get between 50-150 hits.

But to expect more than that and for more than a one time one hot wonder deal is not good.

I’ve found that when I submit to them, the traffic that comes is mostly non-niche, non-targeted and not very valuable.  So be careful.

Always try to be more than a one hit wonder.  Give something of value every time, even if it’s a short post like this one.   Make an important point and it’s ok.

Also, don’t waste your time in the one hit wonder stuff.  Do what counts most.  Build value and valuable links.

I hope this basic social media optimization strategy for you blog was helpful.  Comment, and subscribe so you don’t miss comments and more posts!
