Bad Etiquette in Social Media and Blogging
Here are some things considered taboo in the blogosphere and sociosphere as I call it:
1. Mentioning a blogger, article or site and not linking to it.
2. Spamming in comments or leaving non-relevant comments just to get a link.
3. Being selfish. If you think about it, that’s what the other 2 points really make. The above two are rules that say don’t be selfish. Think of others, don’t just use others.
Also, not sharing is a form of selfishness. Hiding what you know and the tips to success rather than sharing them and helping others to be successful is not the way to go.
Remember, in the blogosphere the saying what comes around goes around is really true, so be careful what you do because something selfish or bad you do will only be returned to you somewhere, somehow, some day. The good news is, the same is true for something good!
4. Being negative, rude and unhelpful.
5. Being impersonal or identity-less instead of someone full of personality and life.
