Social Media Optimization 1 – What Ruins You In Social Media
Running out of worthwhile content
This will make you look like your blog is going down the tubes and is no longer viable. Don’t end up that way. Stay viable and robust.
Talking too much
Amateur bloggers and socialites talk too much and say very little. The pros say little yet it speaks volumes.
Not talking enough
Saying too little is just as bad as saying too much. Keep it simple, but also say what you need to say.
Bragging
I don’t care how much you’ve done and how experienced you are. If you talk about it and always bring it up, it comes across like you’re bragging and is a big turnoff.
Not replying to others
Be responsive to posts, comments and questions. People don’t like it when you fail to acknowledge them. Friendliness and kindness always wins people over to you.
- Post enough but not too much…a few times a week is the right balance
- Make sure your site doesn’t load too slow
- Always over-deliver – more than what they expect!
