SEO Golden Nugget – Use Search Keywords as "they" see it
SEO Keywords, search terms and phrases are in the eyes of the beholder
Why would anyone forget that people often search for things on the Internet using Google or another search engine by using different terms and phrases than others may have expected?
This brings up a vital nugget about SEO and how people search, something you must learn, to do SEO right.
For instance, if someone wanted to find music, and a site had a tendency to use the words “sounds” or “jams” in place of “music” in their web content and as their keywords, the people searching for “music” would probably not land on the site about “jams” and “sounds” because the search terms (keywords) used do not match. Get it?
This is all about SEO match-up, in order to be discovered and to help others find relevant content, i.e. to drive traffic to your site.
This nugget is vital and you must get it right
The search terms are not as YOU see them, but as “THEY” see them. They being the searchers at large. So you must use words, sometimes ones you wouldn’t use for something, or others you prefer not to use.
Why? because “they” use those terms even though you do not. On top of that, “they” may typically use those terms often, even though you do not ever use them. Imagine that.
If you use only the words you see fit to use, no one but you will probably find your site in a google search!
To build pages the SEO way, use the key words, phrases and search terms that “they” would use, not the ones necessarily that you would use unless yours agree with theirs. They again being the searchers of course.
