Can You Ping Bing with XML-RPC?

As many of you know, and XML-RPC type of ping is typically required required to ping other feeders and engines that you’ve updated your blog.

Since Bing is merging with Yahoo and combining search algorithms perhaps…no I don’t know that for a fact but its a (scary) thought…anyhow we should start paying attention to Bing.

That said, how can you and I get our most updated posts in Bing using the Max Press Ping Optimizer Plugin for instance?

I don’t know for certain, and only time will tell…but here is what I am going to try.  I am going to try to add the following to my ping list in the MBP Ping Optimizer tool to try to ping Bing the search engine:

I know, this may not be the way to ping Bing, bit I will try and let you know if I am successful.  Anyhow I have to give credit to one of the only blogs out there to begin covering the topic of how to ping bing:

Smart Blog Tips about How to Ping Bing

I searched online for information regarding this and also came across the Bing forum that dabbles into the question.

Remember, Bing used to be Microsoft Live or MSN, and therefore perhaps until the total transition, the ping shots towards those when you update your blog may still work?  Anyhow this is worth a try.  If you find out better info about pinging Bing, please share it with everyone!
