Why would you want to create a custom WordPress theme?
Because:
- It will make you more popular and send you lost of traffic
- Your theme could have backlinks that most do not end up no-following, with anchor text, for your money-making blog
- Your theme could help your own blog out customized exactly how you want it instead of going with someone else’s design – pride of ownership too
