Are you a fan of Google Addsense?  Or should I call it Google Adsense?

The real spelling is Adsense, not Addsense.  Who where did I get the word addsense from?  because it seems to be a common misspelling of the word Adsense.

MaxBlogPress recently blogged about this using Google Addsense (a misspelled keyword) instead of the correct spelling.  How successful is the “addsense” misspelling strategy?

How Often do People Misspell Adsense using Addsense?

Well, let’s look at what Google shows…

Notice this search for adsense results in 112 thousand possibles – a big difference from the correct spelling results.

Notice this search for google adsense results in 21 Million possibles – a bit lower than just using adsense, as the keyword, and showing people always seem to want the easier and quicker route by at least one third…

Notice this search for google addsense results in 21 Million possibles – the exact SAME as when the word adsense was not misspelled.

Why?  Because in this case Google caught the misspelling and in the other it did not because it knew for sure when you related the words “adsense” and “Google” that it was a misspelling.  Smart!

I think you get my point!  You also will probably get some ideas from this so you can discover some high-traffic, niche misspelled keywords to use in title posts as a traffic strategy.

Is this Black Hat SEO?

No.  I call it White Hat SEO.  Why?  Because people are searching using those keywords, and you are helping them to find content related to their misspelling of words.

People are actuially being helped by their spelling errors of words such as addsense.  So that’s a good thing!
